Rugby Archers

Other than knowing your left from your right there is absolutely no experience required to take a beginner’s course. Unless you are an experienced archer, taking one of our courses is the only way to become a shooting member.

The course costs £60 per junior (under 21) and £70 per senior and is made up of two three-hour sessions held on Saturday mornings. Details for each session are detailed below. Under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian to all sessions. There are no exceptions to this. If this is the case, you might want to consider taking the course yourself, rather than watching for the duration.

All sessions will be held at our field nr. Napton (details are on the ticket). Places are limited to 8 attendees and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that Sun 29th March is the last indoor shoot this season.
We will be moving outdoors for Weds April 1st. That session, we will need help from the members in setting up the outdoor range. With people’s help, this shouldn’t take long and leave plenty of time to shoot.

Taster Sessions are now available for booking.

Always wanted to try Archery for fun, before committing to a Beginners Course.

Paticipants must be aged 9 or over, sessions will last just over the hour at a cost of £10 per person.

8 people per session and places fill up fast, so do not delay in booking.

From the 26^th January 2026 until the 8^th March 2026 submit your verified

scores using a WA18 target (3 spot vertical) or 3 spot Vegas target. 

It will be a 60 arrow round.

Submit scores for all the bows you use.

Drag those bows out from amidst the Christmas decorations and check them over ready to shoot.

Our first indoor sessions are on Thursday 8^th January 2026, followed by Sunday the 11th January 2026.

We are still shooting the Worcester targets until the 25^th January 2026, so get your verified scores in.

Worcester targets, it will be a 60 arrow round that can be shot within the hour.

Due to Sunday 9th November as Remembrance Day there will be no access to the bowls club from 10:00am to 12:00am because of road closures. So we will be running two sessions, one at 12:30pm and a second one at 1:30pm. Club Event adjusted to suit.
